IMA (Inverse Multiplexing for ATM) - Facilitates combination of multiple (up to 32) low-speed ATM circuits into a single logical pipe.
- The low speed circuits are usually E1/T1 lines which inverse multiplex together to provide aggregated ATM bandwidth.
- IMA allows the user to cost-effectively and incrementally grow from single E1/T1 to a DS3/T3 circuit.
- The concept is to merge multiple physical links in order to use the aggregate bandwidth as a single logical ATM circuit.
RADCOM’s Performer Analyzer acts as an IMA analyzer / IMA tester . The Performer Analyzer provides useful analyses, including distribution of protocols, protocol fields, station addresses, communicating pairs, frame lengths and frame status over IMTS links. The Performer Analyzer is an ideal tool for analysis, troubleshooting and solutions on IMA supported networks. |
