Omni-Q’s central management module is designed to take advantage of the unique capabilities and features of RADCOM’s probes by consolidating the monitoring and analysis information into a comprehensive, integrated view that enables visibility, fault detection, performance and troubleshooting. The management module is composed of central processing software engines and user interface modules. Central Processing Software Engines Correlation Engine The high performance correlation engine performs two types of online correlation activity: 1) Signaling (control) plane with Media (user) plane; and 2) session propagation (trace) through the network. Alarm Engine The alarm engine enables a highly granular (analog-like) threshold definition for any monitored parameter over any traffic filter. Common alarm examples are Voice Quality Degradation, Setup Time Too Long, or Radio Link Attach Failure. Database Management The database management engine is responsible for writing and reading enhanced CDRs (eDRs) and session capture files into the database, and performs periodic maintenance functions. Additional processing engines include Configuration, CDR handling, and 3rd party system interconnection. User Interface Modules QExpert A canned reports module, for automatic production and distribution of ongoing reports and an ultra-flexible, easy-to-use ad hoc query generator, for performance analysis and network troubleshooting. Session Viewer For drilldown troubleshooting of historical sessions that occurred prior to the troubleshooting time. |
