Telemig Celular Chooses RADCOM’s Omni-Q to Monitor Cellular and Voice over IP Service Quality   –  Feb 28 2007
Brazilian Operator Awarded Project through Berkana, RADCOM’s Local Distributor

Tel Aviv, Israel – RADCOM, Ltd. (NASDAQ and TASE: RDCM), a leading network test and service monitoring solutions provider, today announced that Telemig Celular, a Brazilian mobile communications provider, selected Omni-Q to measure the quality of services offered over its multi-technology, multi-vendor network. The Omni-Q system, purchased in the fourth quarter of 2006, will be used to monitor the quality of 2.5G GPRS cellular service and SS7 signaling.

Omni-Q is a single platform, vendor- and technology-neutral monitoring solution that can help operators improve service quality, cut costs, and increase revenue. Probes deployed throughout the network monitor the traffic and gather statistics that help service providers know exactly when and where problems occur. This helps not only in troubleshooting existing problems, but also in the preventive-maintenance that ensures problems do not occur in the first place.

“One of the key reasons we chose Omni-Q is its ability to generate custom-made, intelligent reports for multiple users including the NOC (Network Operations Center), engineering, customer support and management,” said ?lvaro C?mara Pe?anha, Telemig Celular’s Director of Planning and Engineering. “The statistics it provides enable analysis and trending on an hourly, daily, weekly, or monthly basis. Support staff can use the one-click drilling from monitoring to troubleshooting to help them identify and solve network problems before they inconvenience our subscribers. Omni-Q is a solution that meets our requirements to maintain service quality performance levels as we continue to expand our network and service offerings.”

“We are proud to provide Omni-Q as a strategic solution to Telemig Celular’s current and future needs,” said Milton Donizeti, Director of Berkana, RADCOM’s partner. “Its flexible architecture and scalability makes it the right choice for now and the right choice to support any future Telemig Celular deployments, including 3G cellular technologies and voice over IP.”

“This is an important win for RADCOM and Berkana,” said Hanan Klainer, Vice President Sales, RADCOM. It not only underscores our mutual commitment to the Brazilian market but also positions us for increased penetration of this important region.”
